Smoking Cessation:Cancer Survivors

Seeking Participants for New Clinical Trial in Rockville, MD: Smoking Cessation for Cancer Survivors

Participants are needed for a study on quitting smoking in cancer survivors. All participants will receive the FDA-approved medication ZybanŽ along with one-on-one counseling.

Cancer survivors may qualify if they:

Completed their cancer treatment at least six months ago;

Have been a regular smoker for at least two years;

Do not use smokeless tobacco, pipes, or cigars;

Are interested in quitting smoking, and

Are willing to take ZybanŽ.

The study is being conducted at the new Tobacco Intervention Research Clinic at the National Cancer Institute in Rockville, MD.

Ann's NOTE: My partner/husband was able to quit smoking using Zyban. (that was seven (7) years ago). So from my personal knowledge it can work successfully.
