Try this recipe for a warm tea that will soothe your digestive tract and help minimize diarrhea. This tea also can help replace the fluids that you have lost due to diarrhea.
Preparation time: 10 minutes.
Serves one as a beverage.
6 to 8 whole cloves
8 ounces of water
1 green tea bag
Simmer the whole cloves in 8 ounces of water until the volume is reduced by half (4 ounces of the liquid remains).
Pour the hot liquid into a mug and remove the whole cloves.
Add 2 ounces cool water to mug.
Add green tea bag to mug and let steep for 3 minutes.*
Let cool until comfortably warm and drink slowly.
Per serving: 0 calories.*
* If you are sensitive to caffeine or if you are trying to avoid caffeine, skip the green tea bag.
