Clinical Trial of Acupuncture for Post-chemo Fatigue:NYC

To Whom It May Concern:

I am a Research Data Coordinator at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC.

We are currently conducting a trial on treatment of chronic post-chemotherapy fatigue using acupuncture.

As you know, many patients who have gone through chemotherapy experience fatigue. Previous studies have shown that acupuncture may help alleviate this symptom.

The purpose of this research is to determine if acupuncture can reduce fatigue in cancer patients treated with chemotherapy.

Like your organization, we are looking to help people with chronic fatigue. At this time, we are recruiting patients for this trial and would like to know if you would be willing to pass on information about this study to the patients you come in contact with.

We would also love to post information about this study on your web site.

For an example of web site information you can see our posting at http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/2270.cfm?IRBNO=04-081

Please feel free to contact me if you have any question or need additional information. Thank you for your time.

Thank you, Cheryl Co Research Data Coordinator Integrative Medicine Service Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center 212-639-8610 Email: coc@mskcc.org
